A tailored approach to recovery

Hello, I’m Mel and I’m a certified Recovery Coach, have a Bachelor’s in Business, and am currently studying Counselling and Psychotherapy. I’m dedicated to helping women recover from unhealthy drinking cycles, build confidence, and feel more empowered in their everyday lives.

How? You might ask? Well, I believe by using a person-centered approach you can tap into a person’s subconscious and change any unhealthy cycle. Alcohol is just another habit that is possible to unlearn with the help of focus, commitment, and connection.

Why do I believe this? Because I did it! I used to be the party girl who went on bingeing benders. I had many nights of cloudy memories fuelled by liquid courage that were followed by mornings full of shame and brain-splitting hangovers. I was also the girl who needed men to love her even if it meant disregarding her body and continuously chasing the highs from toxic relationships. I have lived the lowest lows and the highest highs, and that life isn’t sustainable.

You have three choices in life: accept, leave, or change. I tried the first two and both ended in disaster. BUT, when I chose to take control and change my drinking habit, everything started to fall into place. My life was no longer chaos and I started to reap the incredible benefits of AF living which in turn became my superpower. This is why I do what I do because I am obsessed with helping women find their own superpower! I love seeing my clients take control, create opportunities in their lives and realise how important they are.
